DESIGN-YOUR-OWN ACCESSORIES
AT THE ELVIS & KRESSE WORKSHOP

If you have ever wanted to design and learn how to make your own luxury accessory then our workshop experience is an event you don't want to miss. Elvis & Kresse would love to welcome you to their workshop.

The Elvis & Kresse Fire & Hide Collection combines stunning rescued leather with our signature decommissioned fire-hose. We rescue leather off-cuts from the production of Burberry leather goods and have a partnership with Burberry with the aim of changing the future of leather waste. We have designed a lego-like system which allows us to transform small, seemingly unusable leather pieces into whole new hides.

We hold different workshops throughout the year, the dates of which you will find above. On the day you will have a wide selection of leather colours and textures for you to choose from. You will learn how to design and assemble your very own piece. Whatever colour or pattern you choose, it will be entirely your own. The crafts team at Elvis & Kresse will then finish your piece and send it out to you in our wonderful reclaimed packaging. If you would like to combine your workshop with an overnight stay, please do let us know. We will happily help you to find local accommodation or you can check out our on-sire accommodation, the Field House.

This amazing experience makes an incredible gift too. It includes a light lunch, a chance to meet Elvis & Kresse and a genuine behind the scenes experience with sustainable luxury pioneers.

50% of the profits from our rescued leather collection is donated to The Fire Fighters Charity and Barefoot College.

THE FIRE & HIDE COLLECTION

In 2005 we fell in love with London's decommissioned fire-hose. Determined to save it from landfill we took this lifesaving material home, gave it a second chance, and vowed to donate 50% of the profits to the Fire Fighters Charity. But fire-hose was just the beginning.

Every year, 800,000 tonnes of leather ends up on the cutting room floor. Our leather partners cherish their hides, but no matter how carefully they cut their patterns, there will always be small seemingly unusable offcuts. To rescue this leather we developed a unique modular approach. We hand weave these fragments into whole new hides then lovingly recraft them into sustainable luxury bags and accessories. Our commitment to rescuing British fire-hoses remains the same, the trim, handles and internal detailing of the Fire & Hide range are all made from genuine decommissioned fire-hose. And we continue to donate 50% of profits to charity.

Our Fire & Hide Collection represents a whole new kind of luxury. One that is sustainable, ethical, transparent, generous and kind.

50% of profits donated

Since 2005 we have been rescuing seemingly useless materials and lovingly handcrafting them into sustainable luxury bags and accessories. Every year since, Elvis & Kresse have donated 50% of the profits to charities related to those raw materials. 50% of the profits from the Fire & Hide Collection are donated to Barefoot College International and The Fire Fighters Charity.

Testimonials

I just wanted to say thank you for having me at your workshop last Friday – it was a fantastic day and I wanted to share what it meant to me. The last 3 months have been tough, in particular managing the grief of unexpectedly losing two close family members in quick succession. Life has not felt much fun, but your workshop was such a wonderful and joyful ray of light, and I came away feeling so much more positive. Stepping away from everything for a few hours, slowing down to do something creative and mindful, and being able to enjoy the creative processes of those around me was really therapeutic. Looking around your workshop and grounds and hearing about your business and ethos was so inspiring and restored my faith that there are good things happening in the world. Thank you for doing what you are doing!

Workshop Day - SUPERB and highly recommended!
I would like to review the Workshop day myself and 4 friends attended yesterday. Not knowing what really to expect we were very excited about the whole idea of designing and part-making our own bags. We all chose different ones!

We chose our leathers and trims played around with the massive selection of colours and the E & K team expertly guided us through the process of making the unique panels that would subsequently be made into our bespoke bags!! Weaving the leather pieces ourselves and working out the placement was so much fun and watching the fascinating processes involved in making the fabulous bags!

The whole team were friendly, helpful and happily answered our hundreds of questions!

We all can’t wait to see the finished products in a few weeks time! :-)

Thank you for a wonderful day - we will be back to make more!! 🥰
