Our clutch celebrates a unique combination of rescued materials. Black leather off-cuts from the production of Burberry leather goods and reclaimed printing blankets are combined to create a black-on-black exterior with a fun, hot orange lining made from failed parachute panels.

This handmade-to-order piece is a collaboration with LIVARI, a New York based zero waste womenswear label, who selected the colours, material combination and designed the black-on-black pattern of the clutch. Our shared values and ambitions make this collaboration a true meeting of hearts and minds. Elvis & Kresse donate 50% of our profits to charitable causes associated with the materials we rescue. As with our Fire & Hide range we are working with Barefoot College, supporting the education of female solar engineers and the renewable electrification of their communities. LIVARI have etched their motto, JOY is an act of RESISTANCE, on one of the leather pieces handwoven into the clutch. This is definitely the kind of message you will want to carry proudly, from day to night.

Alysia Reiner: We are so excited to be collaborating with E&K on the LIVARI clutch. E&K deeply espouses LIVARI’s commitment to environmental fashion activism and our clutch is a perfect example of both reusing/repurposing materials and giving 50% to a non-profit empowering women. I interwove two different textures of black leather to create a unique depth for the exterior, a clutch that would transcend any seasons or trends. A versatile, timeless accessory that would go with everything, but would still have a fresh look and unique style - as you can customize your LIVARI clutch with your own special quote square. May the woven pattern also be a metaphor for the interconnectedness of all women supporting each other in the daily fabric of our lives.

Everyone engages with a clutch in a slightly different way, but we wanted to make this practical shape work for everyone. The strap can be removed, attached at both ends, or looped onto one of the side hooks. We have counted 5 ways of carrying this so far and leave the rest to your imagination. You can choose the length of strap: the Standard classic length strap, the over-the-shoulder adjustable long strap, or the ultimate in flexibility - Both straps!

The Fire & Hide Collection

In 2005 we fell in love with London's decommissioned fire-hose. Determined to save it from landfill we took this lifesaving material home, gave it a second chance, and vowed to donate 50% of the profits to the Fire Fighters Charity. But fire-hose was just the beginning.

Every year, 800,000 tonnes of leather ends up on the cutting room floor. Our leather partners cherish their hides, but no matter how carefully they cut their patterns, there will always be small seemingly unusable offcuts. To rescue this leather we developed a unique modular approach. We hand weave these fragments into whole new hides then lovingly recraft them into sustainable luxury bags and accessories. Our commitment to rescuing British fire-hoses remains the same, the trim, handles and internal detailing of the Fire & Hide range are all made from genuine decommissioned fire-hose. And we continue to donate 50% of profits to charity.

Our Fire & Hide Collection represents a whole new kind of luxury. One that is sustainable, ethical, transparent, generous and kind.
