New research published by eBay has shown how the COVID pandemic has transformed the nation's shopping habits with 81% of participants saying their approach to shopping has changed.
The 'Shop for Change' Report shows how there is now a real appetite amongst consumers to buy social and support ethical businesses with 56% believing it is now more important than ever to buy from businesses that give back to society. 92% of parents surveyed also believe that since having a child they want to spend their money in a way that will help build a better future for the next generation.
A small group of pioneering Social Enterprises have been carefully selected to help eBay establish the eBay for Change platform; these lovely businesses include Change Please, Flawsome Drinks, The Good Wash Co, From Babies with Love and ourselves.
Every purchase made through this new hub will have a direct, positive impact on supporting communities – whether that’s providing job or training opportunities, or tackling issues such as homelessness, exclusion, improving people’s life chances, or supporting environmental action.
Elvis & Kresse are truly proud to be working with the World Fairtrade Organisation, eBay, and Social Enterprise UK on this programme, which will help raise the profile of the social enterprise movement with consumers.
AND... Kresse is also happy to be working with eBay, they certainly pioneered the resale and reuse market for clothing, and it is where she finds virtually all of her clothes.
