What does the experience include?

  • 2 nights at the Field House
  • 2 travel bags
  • 2 wash bags
  • 2 personal pieces
  • A tour of the Elvis & Kresse workshop

Come and stay at the farm!

For our first two years at the farm The Field House was home for Elvis, Kresse and Monty... it was the perfect place to escape while the workshop was under construction and as the whole farm was transformed.

Now we would love to share it with you!

The atmosphere is relaxed and quiet and not available on airbnb. A simple, one double bed cottage with a galley kitchen (stocked with basics like olive oil, salt, pepper, tea and coffee, tableware, pots, pans etc.) and perfect for a getaway. It is at the heart of our organic and regenerative farm, overlooks a wetland and is entirely private. There is Wifi but there is no TV and mobile reception is limited... check-in and tune-out!

If you have any questions, or any requests just get in touch and we will do our best.

The cottage is £95.00 per night, with a 2 night minimum booking. No hotel pricing as this is not a hotel - it is just a lovely place to be... and if you answer anything other than 3 to the following multiple choice question, may not be for you:

It is dusk, an owl hoots outside and you step out to hear it better. While enjoying the stars a rare frog hops in the door and when you turn to head in you spot it, looking quizzically at you from the kitchen. Do you:

  1. Dash for your mobile to call your hosts at the farm to come and solve this problem for you.
  2. Put a pot on it upside down and pretend it isn't there.
  3. Be grateful that we still have frogs, put on some rubber gloves (under the sink in the kitchen - gloves are the best way to protect the frog), wet the gloves, then gently pick up the frog, supporting it from underneath. Take it back outside, and place it close to the wetland. Come back in, wash your hands with the gloves on and remove gloves. Get online and try and identify the frog or toad.

If your stay coordinates with our workshop opening hours, Monday to Friday - 08:30-17:00 then you are welcome to pop in for a look around. If you would like a more formal tour then we can arrange that separately - or you can try to coordinate your stay with one of our workshops or experiences.

Terms & Conditions

Before placing an order, if you have any questions at all about these terms and conditions, please contact us

By placing an order you are agreeing to our terms & conditions.

These terms & conditions are updated from time to time and the changes will be effective at the point of order.

Bookings and offers of bookings are all subject to availability. When you submit a booking via our online reservation system you will receive an automatically generated booking summary by e-mail to the e-mail address you provide in the booking form. This does not form a contract. A contract shall only arise when your booking is subsequently confirmed in writing via a letter of confirmation sent by e-mail. The party leader must be at least 18 years of age at the time of booking. No students accepted unless by prior arrangement. Please check all booking details carefully and inform us of any incorrect information immediately. The holidaymaker books the holiday as the consumer and therefore agrees that no liability can be accepted by Elvis & Kresse for any expenses, costs, losses, claims or other sums of any description which relate to any business suffered or loss incurred.

Check-in & Check-out

Check in is at 4pm and check out is at 10am unless prior arrangement has been made.

Unfortunately pets are not allowed unless by prior arrangement. We have sheep on the farm as well as two farm dogs which makes it impractical to add to the mix.

EV Charging

Charging is not permitted via leads from any internal electrical points in our holiday homes for safety reasons. Should any incidents occur due to incorrect and unpermitted charging guests will be liable for all associated costs.

Payment and Cancellation

Once a booking is received and accepted by us, you are liable to pay the full rent. Should you cancel your booking within 8 weeks of your stay an administration fee of £10 (including VAT) will be charged, but there will be no additional cancellation charge. Should you cancel your booking within 4 weeks of your stay 30% of your booking will be charged. Should you cancel your booking within 2 weeks of your stay 50% of your booking will be charged.

We shall have no liability for any death or personal injury unless this results from the negligence of Elvis & Kresse or its employees (providing they were at the time acting in the course of their employment). In addition, we accept no responsibility for the safety of, or the loss or damage to the tenants’ possessions whilst on the farm. Exception to this is if damage or loss is caused by negligence by us or our team.

Telephones, Wifi, Television

Mobile access is limited, but the wifi is great so we recommend switching to internet calling. There is no television.

If You make a Booking using the Payment Platform, You agree to the booking Terms and Conditions which incorporate this Chargeback Policy. Chargebacks occur when your payment card provider makes a demand to return monies on a transaction which you claim is fraudulent or otherwise in dispute. We recognise that chargebacks can happen for a variety of valid reasons. However, if you make a payment-card payment in respect of a booking, and you later dispute this legitimate charge by raising a chargeback without merit (as determined in our sole discretion), whether fraudulently or otherwise, then we may take steps to recover any charges resulting from such an unmerited chargeback from You directly. Unmerited chargebacks include but are not limited to: disputing a charge made in accordance with the the cancellation policy; disputing a charge made in respect of the property rental in which you fail to make reasonable efforts to work with us to resolve any issues; disputing a charge made in respect of a booking which was modified by you and ourselves in breach of these booking conditions; or requesting a chargeback without a legitimate reason and/or failing to provide any supporting information in respect of the chargeback to allow those parties from which the chargeback is requested to assess the basis of the chargeback request. We take a zero tolerance approach to chargeback fraud. Further, in the event of any unmerited chargeback request, We reserve the right to recover monies by any legitimate means available to us, including using a third-party debt collection agency or any other lawful means to recover funds successfully charged back to you in such circumstances.

Not permitted without prior consent

If you have any accessibility requirements, such as reduced mobility, please let our team know at the time of booking so that we can coordinate effectively.

Losses and Damages

Losses or damages incurred by any member of your party during your holiday must be paid for. Before you arrive, the property will have been thoroughly cleaned and checked. If you find any discrepancies with the state of the property please notify our team as soon as possible and certainly within 24 hours. Any losses or damages caused after this will be your responsibility and it may be worth checking with your own insurance company whether they will cover you in these circumstances. If a loss or damage does occur to the property while you are staying there, please inform our team as soon as possible to agree the level of charges to be paid. Charges will be deducted from your security deposit.

Smoking, E-Cigarettes, Candles

In accordance with current legislation, smoking or use of e-cigarettes is not permitted on the farm.

All complaints must be notified to our team immediately, so that on-the-spot investigation can be made if necessary and remedial action taken if required. Under no circumstances will compensation be made for complaints raised after the holiday period has ended, or when the holidaymaker has denied us the opportunity of investigating the complaint and endeavouring to put matters right during the holiday period.

The contract between you and Elvis & Kresse is governed by English Law. Any dispute you have with us shall be dealt with in an English or Welsh Court of Law. Your statutory rights are not affected by anything contained within these booking conditions. Our guests are required to abide by the law of the land at all times during their stay.

We fell in love with London's decommissioned fire-hose back in 2005 through a chance encounter with the London Fire Brigade. We took this lifesaving material home determined to breathe new life into it and save it from its otherwise inevitable end in landfill.

Our Fire-hose pieces are more than just a collection, they represents a whole new kind of luxury. One that is sustainable, ethical, transparent, generous and kind.

Printing Blanket Range

We also offer a Printing Blanket version of our classic pieces. They are made from reclaimed printing blankets, rescued from the printing industry, and combined with our signature decommissioned fire-hose. The re-engineered black printing blanket creates a visually stunning textile that is strong and beautiful to the touch. This version maintains all the design features of the full fire-hose versions.

50% of profits donated

Since 2005 we have been rescuing all of London's retired fire-hose by lovingly handcrafting them into sustainable luxury bags and accessories. Every year since, Elvis & Kresse have donated 50% of the profits from the Fire-hose Collection to The Fire Fighters Charity. This heroic material, once used to save lives, gets a second chance to keep giving back.

I just wanted to say a massive thank you for our amazing stay in your cottage and also making our 30th Wedding Anniversary a special one. Your ethos and everything you are doing on the farm is truly inspiring and your guided tour of the farm and workshop gave us a real insight to the passion you both put into it. Even whilst working you still found time to advise on best places to go in the beautiful town of Faversham. What you are doing at the farm is truly unique and you will definitely be seeing us again and I can’t wait to return when your first bottles of wine come off the production line which I’m sure is going to be amazing. And as expected my wife loved her handbag but even more after she saw the passion you both put into making your collection of truly amazing and unique items.

Stephen & Emma

There are weekends away in splendid hotels with luxurious suites, fabulously styled wine bars with cosy vintage leather sofas in front of open roaring fires….and then there are those weekends away where time stands still and you end up questioning the very fabric of life and our ephemeral existence in this world. It starts with the hosts. If you know who Elvis & Kresse are and what they do, you’ll know they’re a talented couple that have created a company which I believe to be world class. E&K have developed a business which once you know them, are hard to forget or ignore. They are the perfect, if there is such a thing, embodiment of a company which engenders a feeling that companies really can be a force for good.
