The purses, wallets and cardholders in this collection are made from the same two rescued materials as the rest of our Fire & Hide collection: leather offcuts from Burberry and Rolls Royce and decommissioned British fire-hose. These small objects are handled every day; we think they deserve to be made from materials with a genuine story.
Each piece is handmade across our two workshops, in Kent and Istanbul. The premium leather was first intended to make upholstery for Rolls Royce cars or handbags for Burberry, but the pieces that we collect are the small scraps, the off-cuts, and if we don't collect them they would go to landfill or be incinerated. The fire-hose provides the structural elements. Both materials age well, and a wallet made from this combination will look better after five years than it does today.
Here is what you are actually buying.

Rescued leather: The leather we collect are offcuts from Rolls Royce automotive manufacturing and the manufacture of Burberry leather goods. We collect directly from their factories. We do not dye or treat the leather before use.

Decommissioned fire-hose: Our signature material is British fire-hose that has been retired from service; it provides structural integrity and water resistance.

Laser etching available: Almost all of our pieces can be personalised with initials or a short message. Please see product pages for examples and if you have a particular request, please do let us know.
