November 10, 2025

On Monday, November 10th, 2025, at The Dorchester in Mayfair, we were absolutely thrilled to be named Sustainable Luxury Brand of the Year at the Walpole British Luxury Awards.
Hosted by the brilliant Omari Douglas, the event gathered over 400 of the most inspiring figures from across the British luxury world - designers, makers, innovators, and storytellers - all celebrating the creativity, excellence, and global influence of British craftsmanship.
To be recognised by Walpole, the official body for British luxury, means the world to us. This award, presented in association with Beyondly, honours the British luxury brand that has made sustainability an inherent part of its business model and demonstrated meaningful progress in applying best practices across its ecosystem.
For Elvis & Kresse, sustainability isn’t a department or a single initiative. It’s the reason we exist. From the very beginning, Elvis & Kresse was founded to rescue London’s decommissioned fire-hoses and transform them into something useful and beautiful while donating 50% of profits to The Fire Fighters Charity.
That mission has grown over the years to include: rescue programs for 15 different materials, luxury partnerships to rescue off-cut leather, and a host of regenerative projects at our farm and HQ in Kent.
Every piece we make embodies our belief that luxury can (and must) be a force for good, combining craftsmanship, innovation, and responsibility.
This award recognises not just our products, but our purpose and everyone who believes in our vision: our talented team, our partners, our customers, and our community of supporters.
A special thank you goes to our long-time friend and sustainability advocate Arizona Muse, who presented us with the award. Having someone who shares our deep commitment to environmental and social progress hand us this honour made the moment even more meaningful.
And another thank you to Patrick McDowell, who loaned Kresse an iconic skirt from his Spring/Summer '25, Portraits of a Painter Collection. It was pure joy to wear such a beautiful piece, from a designer who shares our environmental commitment.
As Helen Brocklebank, Walpole’s CEO, said on the night:
“British luxury tells a powerful story of confidence, ingenuity and determination.”
We are proud to be part of that story and to help shape the future of sustainable British luxury, one rescued material, one thoughtful design, and one partnership at a time.
Thank you to Walpole, Beyondly, and all our peers for this incredible honour. And thank you, as always, to our community for believing in sustainable luxury and supporting us on this journey.
We gave a little acceptance speech, it went a little like this:
"Our journey began 20 years ago with a radical idea: to save London’s damaged fire-hoses from landfill and turn waste into purpose. This award is an honour- and a responsibility, we have so much more to do! This is an open invitation to the farm, come and see where we are at on our regenerative journey. We know that, together with the British Luxury community, we can help people imagine and build a beautiful, joyful and sustainable future."
